Day Four Quick Update

We had a long haul today, breaking the 500 mile barrier.  So after some Mexican food, margaritas and a stroll down the "River Walk" in downtown San Antonio, there's no time left to get the show posted ... but should have it up and running by tomorrow evening along with day five.  The run was great today; completely avoiding the interstate.  We came down 285 to 90, all two lane highways.  We were clearly in our "Zen" of motorcycle riding, until we thought about what would happen if we broke down.  No doubt the vultures would start circling, but then again, there weren't any vultures around ... definitely not a good sign.

Thanks to Tom, for the second time in our riding history he recovered a part that fell off my Harley ... the right rear foot peg.  It's a story to tell later.  Mike pulled over at one point and was considering running out into a field to "slap" a longhorn bull.  He chickened out when he became uncertain on clearing the fence on the run back.  We had our camera's ready just in case.  Also, Tom got "carded" for his ID when he made the beer run yesterday.

Well, it's late.  We're going to attempt to record Tom sleeping to play with a later slide show (Mike's idea) so we'll see how it goes.

Here's our progress, from Carlsbad  Caverns, NM to San Antonio, TX.
